Dublin Core
Dublin Core (Meta DC), is a standard to describe electronic information resources.

Description
The Dublin Core metadata allows the giving of information about pages of a web site, facilitates referencing (SEO) of a web site a step forward towards web semantics.
When we describe an information resource (document, picture or sound file), the result is a series of information. We call "metadata", data that describes other data. With this metadata, the work of the index or search engines is greatly facilitated because they can extract automatically extensive information about the document, and rebuild relationships that exists between documents. The content of each web page on a website can be described fairly accurately using these elements.
