Density index
The word density index, important in internet referencing SEO, is an element taken in consideration by the search engine algorithms for the order of appearance of the web pages on a search. The density index is obtained by dividing the number of times the word appears by the total amount of words on the indexed page.
Description
The calculation of the density index on the pages of a web site allows the indication of importance of certain words in the text of a page. The density index is part of the criteria used by search engines to judge the relevance of a page compared to a search request, therefore an important point in internet marketing. In general you need a density index greater than the average for strategic keywords, but without going to fare (which could penalize in terms of positioning).
